Since 1907, the People’s City Mission has been where all of Lincoln’s less fortunate could find shelter and a warm meal. We’ve grown in the past 104 years to be Lincoln’s safety net for the community supported BY the community.

The Free Medical Clinic is providing Lincoln's uninsured
a medical home to meet their healthcare needs

In July of 2009, the People’s City Mission started the FREE Medical Clinic because we had seen for years the hardships our guests and other uninsured within the community faced trying to find reliable healthcare. In a little over two years, we have provided nearly 20,000 patient visits.

The Homeless Prevention Center is an invaluable
source of aid to Lincoln’s low income families

The People’s City Mission Homeless Prevention Center is where Lincoln’s less fortunate can turn for food, clothing, household items, medical assessment and other support. This service is vital to thousands of Lincoln families struggling to make ends meet.

Safe Place - where Lincoln’s at-risk youth
get help…FAST

Safe Place is a national youth outreach program established in 1983. In September of 2011, People’s City Mission started Safe Place in Lincoln. Thanks to a network of local businesses and public sites and trained volunteers from the community, Safe Place gives youth access to immediate help and safety if they are at-risk, homeless or a runaway.

STARRY NIGHTS. Lincoln’s premiere holiday
event created in the spirit of giving and generosity

Starry Nights Christmas Tree Festival is a community event to be held December 1st thru 3rd in the Historic Haymarket’s Lincoln Station where guests can view a multitude of beautiful, designer decorated trees while enjoying family-friendly activities and a Gala with live and silent auction to be held on December 4th.

RUN 4 THE HOMELESS. Run so they
can get back on track

Run 4 The Homeless is our annual 5K non-competitive run/walk and 1-mile fun walk. Participants, with the help of family and friends, collect money to run or walk the 5K route around Haymarket Park and surrounding trails or to take part in the 1-mile fun walk inside Saltdogs Stadium. All proceeds go to fund the efforts of People's City Mission.
