The Homeless Prevention Center is located at 26th & O St. in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Homeless Prevention Center makes items such as food, clothing, personal care needs, furniture and household goods available at no charge to the poor and near homeless of Lincoln.
Many of the people coming to the Prevention Center are living at or below the poverty line. They include people who are unemployed or under-employed, physically and mentally handicapped, refugees, those struggling with affordable housing, and/or unable to earn a living wage. We estimate that 12 to 15% of our city's population is living in poverty. The Prevention Center also makes clothing and shoes available to homeless guests staying at the Mission Shelter.
