Fund the Clinic
Jeannie works for the Lincoln school system and is unable to afford insurance. When breathing became laborious and even walking down the hall was difficult, her only option was the People's City Mission Free Clinic. We see the uninsured in our city for free. We help those who have nowhere else to go.
The uninsured shouldn't mean UNSEEN.
The doctors on staff took one look at her and knew she would need more tests than could be performed at the clinic. They helped her find a hospital that would work with her. They discovered she had an irregular heart beat, infection, high blood pressure and diabetes. We were able to help her get the treatment she needed and save her life.
There are many more Jeannies in our city; we can't see them without your help. The clinic is run primarily on medical volunteers time and medical donations, but it still takes $275,000 to run the basic building operations for a year.
